I am a 35 years old single woman who has run into some financial difficulty. I always am helping people who need help because thats the way I was brought up. About 6 months ago I had my sister and here 2 kids move in with me because they were living in an abusive situation. Shortly thereafter I started having health issues caused from a back injury I incurred 13 years ago after a car accident, the bone graft they did in my spine is starting to deteriorate and it's looking like I'll have to undergo surgery again. Due to the pain that I am in, I am not able to work enough hours to pay my bills. I literally work until I can't stand up straight anymore. On top of that my sister lost her job as well. So we are now 1 full month behind in rent, with a new month looming on top of us. My landlady has been incredibaly understanding of my situation, but she also counts on my money.
I have been working since I was 14 years old. I only just recently applied for food assistance for the first time. I've always pulled my own way, and am having a VERY hard time emotionally dealing with this situation. I have quite literally made myself sick worrying about how I'm going to keep a roof over those two babies heads through the winter.
